You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Upper Woodlands Road on Tuesday 3rd February 1900hrs and 2200hrs the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry. 

Between times and date stated, unknown suspects have forced entry into the address by causing damage to the back lock on the back door. The lock has been snapped, entry has been gained and an untidy search of the house has been conducted. Suspects have left with a sum of cash and other items.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between Tuesday 3rd February 1900hrs and 2200hrs to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
